ADHICHANALLUR IRON SICKLES

In the burial grounds of Adichanallur, pyriform - shaped large terracotta urns were excavated. Inside and around these urns, many antiquities were there. Different types of earthenware containers, hunting and agricultural implements of iron and decorative and ornamental bronze objects are noteworthy.

These antiquities are confirmed to be not less than 3200 years.

The prehistoric Adhichanallur people knew molding earthenware, casting and working metals, stone and wood, cultivation and weaving.
