• Transferred from the School of Arts and Crafts in 1943.
• The picture shows Maratha King Shivaji and his wife Saitamba Bai who are in sitting posture. Their eyes are drawn so specifically to create the impression in the spectators as if figures are looking them. The dresses of the figures are decorated with semi-precious and gold ornaments.
